“Language of Mud”: found materials, metal
Aneta Grzeszykowska
“Mama”: silicone
I was drawn to both “Language of Mud” and “Mama” because they felt the least nihilistic. They felt explority, almost soft, even though one was outwardly very mechanical. I think I have the knee jerk reaction to dismiss tech heavy art, because sometimes it can feel very inhuman and removed from reality, which is sometimes the point.
But I appreciate how these two are tactial, you can see the humanity, the imperfections in the pseudo hair, and the rusting metal. There is an impernance to them, a natural component.
